Custom Questions

Custom Questions are questions designed by you to be asked during registration. If there is information you would like to capture for either Team Registrations (such as which section they would like to play in) or Individual Registrations (such as which team they are playing for). The limit is you!

Creating Custom Questions

In the User Module

• Administrators > Our Organisation > Registration Questions
• Scroll down to Custom Questions
• Select + Add Question

• In the pop up, complete the fields as desired

• Question: Enter the Question you want to ask
• Category: Which Category would you like to sort the question into. This is where you will find it later, and will impact which section the question appears in when registering
• Short Name: A shorter version of your question
• Registration Type: Individual Registrations are questions asked to participants, Team Registrations are asked when registering a team
• Question Type: What type of answer to you want - Text, Numeric, Date, Yes/No, Single Choice, Mulitple Choice, File - Image/Doc
• Apply to selected competitions: If you are asking a specific quesiton that is only relevant to certain competitions, select this box and choose which competition/s to limit who will see the question
• Mandatory: Choose if the question must be answered or not, by ticking the box it means those registering cannot proceed without answering the question
• By Role: Select which roles will see the question. Eg; Player, Coach, Manager etc.
• By Membership Type: Select which membership types will see the question. Eg; 2025 Junior Players, 2025 Senior Umpires etc.

• An example is listed above. When you are happy with your settings, select Add Question
• You will now need to enable this question for it to appear when registering
• On the Registration Questions page, find the category your question sits under and press the + to see your question
• Choose what Action you would like. Do not ask means the question is NOT enabled. Ask means the question is asked during registration and this is not available to toggle on the registration form. Allow affiliate to choose means the question can be enabled or disabled in the registration form.

• Once you choose your action, scroll down and select Update to save your settings

  If you selected Allow affiliate to choose:

• Registration Module > Competition/Program > Registration Form > Hover over '...' and select Edit
• Scroll down to Additional Questions
• Your question will appear under Custom Registration Questions, then your selected Category. Tick the box then scroll down and select Update

Finding the Question Results

To find what participants have answered to your questions, they will appear at the end of the following exports:

• Team Questions: Registration Module > Registrations > Team Registrations > Use Filter if desired then select Display Registrations > Export
• Individual Questions: Registration Module > Registrations > Registrations > Use Filter if desired then select Display Registrations > Export
